When Britney and her girlfriend Cher turn up at Dreamland, the now abandoned American themed caravan park of Britney’s childhood summers, they meet Madonna. While she was once one half of the Posh and Becks of the Kent coast, this Madonna is very different to how Britney remembers her, the larger-than-life Dave is nowhere to be seen and rotting ghosts of a nostalgic past linger.

the celebrity in the white bikini (+ how I accidentally looked) was originally a seed commission from Theatre503 as part of the 503Five as well as being supported by an MGCFutures bursary. It received a rehearsed reading at County Hall in December 2020, directed by Lucy McCann.

It was shortlisted for Stückemarkt 2022, as part of The Berliner Theatertreffen.
