BIRDS

 “Are you nearly coming home?”

Lee’s got a secret, one her daughter Woody is getting SICK of keeping. Contrary to her youngest daughter Ray’s beliefs, Lee isn’t leading the glamorous jet-setting life of an air hostess, she’s in prison and won’t be back for a long time. When Ray qualifies for a prestigious national gymnastics competition, Lee’s DESPERATE to get her the expensive leotard she needs to compete. But with limited means and her volatile new cell-mate Maya to contend with, Lee’s pushed to the BRINK.

Can she find a way to make Ray’s dreams possible while concealing the truth from her at all costs? Or is time running out for Lee's lie?

Birds is a fast-paced, tender love story about mums, daughters and daring to dream.
